Which Canvas Is Best? There is a lot of information on other websites about canvas quality. We won't go into the details except to say that double-fill canvas is superior. We use a variety of different canvas brands depending on the tent you purchase. Our MAGNUM line is made from our 12oz double-fill canvas. Our Outfitter line is made with a 10.10oz Sunforger brand double-fill canvas, and our Bighorns are made from a 10.10oz marine treated double-fill canvas. Each of these canvas types are treated for water and mildew resistance, and some (like our 12oz Magnum) also come standard with fire retardant. We hired an independent lab to test the strength of the 3 canvas types we use in our tents using the ASTM D 5034 Grab Method, which tests the breaking strength in 2 directions (called warp and fill). The Bottom Line: Our 12oz double-fill canvas is 68% stronger than the 10.10oz Sunforger used by most manufacturers. Please see table below for actual test results:

The difference between the 10.10oz Sunforger and 10.10oz Marine is so small that it is not worth worrying over. Practically speaking they are equal quality. No matter which tent you purchase from us, you can be assured you are getting a high quality tent that will last for years to come. If you're willing to put up with a little extra weight, the MAGNUM is by far the best choice. If you're looking for something a little lighter but still very durable, either our Bighorn or Outfitter tent will get the job done, and then some. Eaves and wall bottoms are reinforced with nylon webbing. Corners are reinforced with an extra layer of canvas. This is one tough tent!
In addition to being the toughest tent around, it also is the most complete tent. Every MAGNUM comes with a zippered door with buckled storm door, a zippered screen door, a large 2x3ft screened window, a stove pipe shield with flap, vinyl sod cloth, ropes, steel stakes, and tent bag.
